Born and raised in Miami, Karen Zapata brings a thoughtful, community-oriented approach to her legal practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Communication Arts, with a concentration in Arts and Performance Studies, reflecting her longstanding background in the visual and performing arts. Karen earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law, where she also obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property, further complementing her interest in the protection of creative works.
During law school, Karen served as Social Media Director for the Fashion Law Society, where she integrated her legal education with her creative and professional skill set. She is dedicated to providing diligent, client-focused representation and is committed to serving both her clients and the broader community. Outside of her legal practice, Karen enjoys traveling, participating in the arts, and volunteering within the community.
Upon admission to the Florida Bar, Karen began her legal career with a focus on litigation, concentrating on business, real estate, and family law matters. Through her litigation experience, she has developed a strong and versatile skill set that has consistently advanced her clients’ interests throughout her career.
